When Ashley graduates from Atascadero High School, she will go to Cuesta for two years for nursing and then finish at the University of Phoenix for her bachelor's degree in nursing. Francesca Mennella: Francesca was born in Inverness Florida nineteen years ago and has been around horses all her life. She started out trail riding with her mother at two years old. At fourteen she joined the Mokelumne Mounties Jr. Equestrian Drill Team. After that she barrel raced for a year and is now starting to do it again. Francesca was involved with the FFA when she was in high school where she received her Green Hand and Chapter degrees. She is also going on her sixth year as a Jr. Fair Board member. Francesca is also attending Cuesta College and hopes to get into Cal Poly and finish with an Ag Business degree. Francesca has always admired and looked up to rodeo queens. She wants to be Miss Creston Classic Rodeo so she can be a role model for young girls, just like rodeo queens have always been for her. She also really wants to get involved in the C.A.T.C.H. Fund and raise as much money as possible for the new community center in Creston.
Kara Kester: Kara lives on the Bear Valley Ranch in Parkfield and has been riding horses since she was three years old. Kara has participated in many local gymkhanas, such as the Pioneer Day Gymkhana and plans to join the West Coast Junior Rodeo. She has ridden in the Parkfield Rodeo Grand Entry for several years. Kara has represented the Creston Classic Rodeo at many events during the past year. We are gratefull for her help and wish her success in the pursuit of her long-term goal to attend Cal-Poly as an agribusiness major.
Molly Clark: Growing up in the country has made me what I am today. I am adventurous, hard working, independent and always ready to have fun. Roping & riding, going on a hike and fishing would make my perfect day. I love being outside and caring for the many animals at our place. Living in Creston since I was five, I really enjoy the nice people and simple way of life. Now that I go to the junior high school in Atascadero, I really appreciate our rural lifestyle because kids in town don't have the opportunities that we take for granted.
